Gaseous Materials

Gaseous materials are substances that exist in the gas phase under standard temperature and pressure (STP) conditions. In this state, the molecules of these materials move freely and rapidly in all directions due to weak intermolecular forces. Gaseous materials can expand to fill any container and do not have a definite shape or volume.
1.1 Gases (A2)

Gases are substances that exist in a gaseous state at room temperature and pressure. They have no fixed shape or volume and expand to fill their container. Common examples include oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. Gases can be classified into various types based on their properties, such as inert gases, reactive gases, and toxic gases.

Miscellaneous Explosive Substances (4.1 A)

Miscellaneous explosive substances include a variety of materials that can explode under specific conditions but do not fit neatly into other explosive categories. These substances may have different properties and can pose hazards in storage and transport. Examples include certain types of fireworks and other non-specific explosives.

Flammable Solids or Desensitizing Explosive Substances (4.1 B)
Pyrophoric or Self-Igniting Substances (4.2)
Substances Producing Oxidizing Gases with Water (4.3)
Category 3

Flammable Solids

Flammable solids are materials that can easily ignite and sustain combustion when exposed to an ignition source, such as heat, sparks, or friction. In a warehouse setting, these substances pose a significant fire hazard, requiring special handling, storage, and safety measures.
Highly Oxidizing Substance (5.1 A)

Highly oxidizing substances are materials that can readily provide oxygen to support combustion or accelerate the burning of other materials. These substances are highly reactive and can pose serious fire and explosion hazards. Examples include perchlorates and nitrates.
